Cardi B Becomes First Female Rapper To Earn A Diamond Song
Cardi B continues to collect accolades for her music!
In 2019 she won Rap Album Of The Year at the Grammys, beating out Travis Scott’s Astroworld and Pusha T’s Daytona.
Now, three years after its release, the Recording Industry of America has confirmed that Cardi’s breakout single “Bodak Yellow” has become certified Diamond.
This makes Cardi B the first female rapper to sell over 10 million copies and go 10x Platinum.
Cardi is currently working on her upcoming album and the confirmation also comes after Cardi and Meg Thee Stallion’s collaboration “WAP” went 5x Platinum.
Cardi’s team surprised her with the news at a restaurant, unveiling the diamond plaque to her.
