Idris Elba Says He Is Filming The ‘Luther’ Movie This Year
Idris Elba has delighted his fans by confirming that the Luther movie will begin production this year.
The critically acclaimed actor who started as DCI John Luther for nine years on the BBC will take his much-loved character to the silver screen for the movie adaption.
In an interview with The All-New Capital Weekend, Idris said, “Apart from making more music, people that love my film and stuff, listen, I’m going to be making Luther: The Movie. I’m super excited and I hope the fans are sort of excited for that. It’s been a long time coming for a movie, so I’m excited about that.”
The fifth and final series of the show aired in 2019 and fans were left wanting more thanks to the engaging storyline and Elba’s commendable performance.
