ITV officially confirm ‘Love Island’ will return this summer.
The news was announced by ITV’s Managing Director of Media and Entertainment, Kevin Lygo, who revealed the channel’s spring schedule today (March 4).
‘There’s so much to look forward to on ITV this spring and into summer,” Lygo said “with the Euros and the return of Love Island, but much more besides.”
News of Love Island’s return comes after the UK edition of the series was cancelled last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
According to reports, the channel island of Jersey is in the running as a back-up location if filming can’t take place abroad for this year’s series.
In addition to Love Island, it has also been announced that a host of other shows, such as The Masked Singer spin-off The Masker Dancer, are on the way.
