Man Fails His Driver’s Theory Test For The 192nd Time
A 50-year-old man has failed his driver’s theory test for the 192nd, time, setting a new record in Poland.
Polish drivers must pass their theory test first before they are allowed to sit the practical driving test.
Learners are allowed an unlimited number of attempts and the pass rate is between 50 and 60 per cent.
Unfortunately for this applicant, he has failed the test consistently over the last 17 years and has spent over £1115 in exam fees.
Stanisław Kobusiewicz, a driving instructor in Poland said, “There should be a regulation in Poland that prohibits a candidate from taking the exam more than twenty or thirty times. If someone is ignorant of the rules and does not know them, he should not drive on the streets. It can, after all, pose a danger to others.”
In the UK, a 42-year-old man recently passed his theory test on his 158th try after spending over £3,600.
The current driving test pass rate in the UK according to statistics is 49.6 per cent for men and 42.6 per cent for women.
Driving lessons and tests are currently on pause due to the Covid-19 pandemic. A petition was recently set up which asks for driving instructors to be able to pass their students without the need for a test to be taken.
Driving lessons are expected to resume in April following Boris Johnson’s roadmap out of lockdown announcement.
