People travelling from England must have a permit to fly abroad from Monday
People have been filled with hope as the summer approaches due to the UK government’s release of a roadmap out of lockdown, however, travelling abroad remains a confusing topic, and English tourists who do not have the new permit will face fines and lose flights.
Anyone leaving England after Monday must show evidence of travel permission or risk being turned away from the airport and fined.
The travellers will need to print and fill out a Declaration to Travel form from the government’s website.
According to the form, the trip will be allowed under current restrictions if it is for education or a job and spot checks will be conducted by police officers.
Police will ask travellers to produce a completed form too.
Failure to deliver a completed form would be a criminal offence, with individuals facing a £200 fine, according to the Department for Transport.
The form must be printed or downloaded from the government’s website, signed before the flight, and taken with you on your travels.
Traveling abroad without a reasonable explanation, such as work, volunteering, schooling, medical reasons, or funerals, is illegal under the current lockdown regulations.
Travellers arriving in the UK must now take two coronavirus tests when quarantined.
