Tigers Woods Hospitalised With Injuries After Serious Car Crash In Los Angeles
Golf legend Tiger Woods has been taken to hospital after being involved in a car crash in Los Angeles, California.
The golfing legend had to be cut out of the vehicle at the scene on Tuesday morning (local time).
LA County Sheriff’s Department identified Tiger Woods in a statement stating, Mr Woods was extricated from the wreck with the ‘jaws of life’ by Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics, then transported to a local hospital by ambulance for his injuries.
LA County Sheriff’s Department said: “The driver and sole occupant was identified as PGA golfer, Eldrick ‘Tiger’ Woods.
“Mr Woods was extricated from the wreck with the ‘jaws of life’ by Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics, then transported to a local hospital by ambulance for his injuries.”
Woods’ agent – Mark Steinberg – told Golf Digest in a statement: “Tiger Woods was in a single-car accident this morning in California where he suffered multiple leg injuries.
“He is currently in surgery and we thank you for your privacy and support.”
Recognised as one of the greatest sportsmen of all time, Tiger has bounced back since receiving publish backlash from a 2017 DUI arrest by winning the highly acclaimed 2019 Masters Tournament.
