Woman pulls off her thong & uses it as a face mask whilst shopping at the supermarket
In the latest offering of bizarre news, a woman has been filmed talking off her thong to use as a face covering in a supermarket.
After being warned by a security guard at a Pick N Pay shop in South Africa that she would not be served without a mask, the unidentified women chose to take off her underwear and wrap in around her face.
The video which shows the peculiar occurrence was posted to Facebook and currently has thousands of views.
One commenter said, “Creativity under pressure 6/10. Class 0/10’
We’re all adults. Rules are rules. Just get on with it. No one wants to baby an adult.”
Another added, “It is a mask. Quite frankly I think the bacteria on your knickers is less than on the mask. So well done to you. Brilliant.”
The video is the result of the current global zeitgeist in which the Covid-19 pandemic has changed rules on social interaction.
Most countries are imposing strict social distancing measures which prohibit coming within at least 1 metre of people from different households.
Wearing masks and face coverings is also slowly being the norm – with several countries including the UK having face coverings as a legal requirement in certain buildings and on public transport.
