Youtube Pranksters prove Royal Experts ‘lie about Harry and Meghan’ in new video
Two Youtubers tricked four royal experts into documenting their opinion on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Oprah interview before they had seen it.
In a video titled We Proved Royal Experts Lie About Harry and Meghan which currently boats over half a million views, John Pieters and Archie Manners set out to prove that royal commentators are willing to provide comment on content that they have not yet seen.
Josh and Archie set up a fake production company and asked some “royal experts” to comment on the interview three days before the interview would actually air.
The interviews would be pre-recorded and then would air immediately after the Oprah broadcast as if they were immediate reactions.
Josh and Archie managed to get comments from the Queen’s former press secretary Dickie Arbiter, Ingrid Seward, the editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine and royal commentators Richard Fitzwilliams and Victoria Arbiter.
As the video explains, the experts all negotiated their fees, signed contracts and gave their thoughts as though they had already seen the interview.
The comments were negative and offered commentary blindly.
Ingrid Seward said, “In the interview, to my mind, this was an actress giving one of her great performances. From start to finish, Meghan was acting.”
Richard Fitzwilliams added, “Oprah is a friend who gave them an easy ride. She was totally sympathetic, and there was a great deal in it that the palace will find deeply concerning.”
The commentators all added analysis of Meghan based off of the interview and critiqued Oprah’s interview style.
The highly anticipated interview will air tonight (Sunday) in the US on CBS and on Monday 8th March in the UK at 9pm on ITV.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are expected to address why they chose to step down from Royal duties and their issues with the monarchy.
Meghan Markle has been a victim of racism and media bullying since her relationship with Prince Harry was made public.
